Behind the Piece
I painted this one with the aurora borealis in mind in the way it flows and the colors. The background is maroon, with pops of turquoise, lavender, and gold coming through in these big curves. I love all the cells that popped up in this piece, I was so shocked at how many I got. The brighter gold sits near the center, with a deep maroon opening just under it. It was a fun painting to make. Full of curves and cells.
