Behind the Piece

Walk The Line is one of the very few remaining paintings from my Lines series. Every piece in this collection centers on a sharp contrast between two primary color fields, anchored by hand-tracing the fluid edges with an acrylic paint pen.

When I painted this, I was quite literally walking the line between my eleven-year corporate tech career and my dream of stepping into full-time studio artistry. I felt completely caught in the middle of those two worlds—stuck in a transition phase where I didn't feel like I fully belonged to either one yet.

Looking at it now from the other side, it feels less like a state of being stuck and more like the active path I'm carving forward. Whether you know the exact line you're walking right now or you're navigating your own uncomfortable in-between, this piece is a reminder to keep moving toward what's next.
